PETER GETS FISH!
We have
another amazing miracle for you in today's story. The LORD JESUS
had a very good friend called PETER, who was a FISHERMAN. One day
Jesus borrowed Peter's boat, so He could sit in it, a little way
out in the water and teach the people, as they stood on the beach.
When He had finished teaching the people about GOD, Jesus said to
Peter, "Let's go and catch some fish!"
Peter and the other men had fished all night and had caught nothing, but because it was Jesus, who said so, the sailed out and let the nets down. Peter was amazed when they caught so many fish that the nets began to break! Then Peter knew that this was another MIRACLE that the Lord Jesus had done.
Peter
fell down in front of the Lord Jesus and said, "Go away from
me, Lord; I am a sinful man!"
Peter was ashamed because he knew all about the bad things he had done, and here was the PERFECT SON OF GOD, in his boat. Also Jesus had given him so many fish and he felt he didn't deserve it at all.
We too should be ashamed at the bad things we have done. The Bible calls these things SINS. Also there is a Bible verse that says, "All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." ROMANS 3 v 23
But the Lord Jesus did not GO AWAY from His friend Peter and Jesus will not GO AWAY from us either, though we have sinned. The Lord Jesus came to DIE on the CROSS for Peter's sins and for Yours and Mine too!
"Peter,
I want you to follow me and be my disciple," said Jesus,
"and instead of catching fish, you will catch people for me."
Peter was to become a true follower of the Lord Jesus, and later he would become a great preacher and lead many people to accept the Lord Jesus as their own Saviour.

Lord Jesus, I believe You filled Peter's nets with fish. I
believe You did miracles because You are the Son

the cross for my sins. I ask You now to forgive me. Come into my
heart. Live in Me as My very own Saviour and My God. Amen."
