THEY BOW DOWN!
For seven years there were bumper harvests in Egypt and Joseph arranged for the extra grain to be stored in the cities. Then the seven bad years began? There was no rain, the crops died and there was no food in all the land. The people cried out to Pharaoh and he said, "Go to Joseph!" So the people went to Joseph to buy food. There was plenty for everyone in Joseph's store rooms.
People travelled from all the countries to buy corn from Joseph. Jacob, Joseph's father sent his sons to buy some corn from the Egyptians. Joseph's brothers came and bowed down to him without recognising who he was. Joseph's dream had come true!
Joseph did not let on that he knew them. He wanted to see if his
brothers had changed and if they were sorry for the bad thing
they had done in selling him as a slave. He was harsh with them
and called them spies!
Well children, it is a very important thing to be truly SORRY for the bad things we have done. Our LIES, our SWEARING, our BAD TEMPER, are called SINS. Even ONE sin is enough to keep us out of HEAVEN for ever. We have all SINNED many times. We need to tell the LORD JESUS we are truly SORRY and ASK for His FORGIVENESS.
HE is able to FORGIVE us ALL our SINS because He took the punishment that we deserved, when He DIED for us on the CROSS. Three days after He was buried in the cave tomb, He came ALIVE again. His disciples and many others saw Him ALIVE! Today the Lord Jesus is in Heaven but also He is right beside each person in the world, by His Spirit. He longs to hear you say that you are SORRY for your SINS. He wants you to ASK Him to FORGIVE you. PRAY the prayer below today and you will become ONE of His dear CHILDREN.
"in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins" COLOSSIANS 1 v 14
PRAYER
"Dear Lord Jesus, I am truly sorry for all my sins. Please forgive me right now. Come into my heart and make me Your child. Amen."
What a wonderful God Jesus is!
